Why I became an engineer?
There are many reasons that have influenced my decision to pursue to be an Engineer. My father was always a tool head, I played with LEGOS for the first ten years of my life practically, I have been to many car races and done a lot of home improvement projects. These have inspired my mind to think parallel to an engineer mindset. I found buildings bridges, mechanical aspects of elevators, how things work, and figuring out how they work too is probably the most fun for me. Through the many different disciplines of engineering the people are different as well similarly to anything else, however we all have common goals that require the same dedication and persistence. My whole life and the environment in my life has geared me to pursue engineering so I thought to follow my interest no matter how high the hill may be.
My favorite thing about Theta Tau?
Sporting and Outdoor activities?
I like to play a lot of sports, I was on my high school varsity team for 2 years, and always have been outside playing sports my whole life. I love also to be outdoors, if it means camping, canoeing, kayaking, swiming, fishing, hiking, site seeing, exploring. Any other types of outdoor activities I would definitely be up to doing it. It seems that sports have become some of my hobbies!
Hobbies:
Recently, one of my favorite things to do is to relax and enjoy life, with majoring in engineering I have rigorous schedules each semester filled with tough classes, I am so involved with stressful school work. On my down time I like to relax, watch T.V., exercise by lifting weights or by playing various sports mainly basketball, golf, touch football, volleyball and ultimate Frisbee. I play the guitar so that is another one of my hobbies that I like to do if I get free time to spend time doing these hobbies.
If I wasn't an engineer, I would pursue...
I would have to say Mathematics, I would chose this because I love math, it has always interest ever since high school. However, I plan to minor in math with my major in one of the Civil, Mechanical, Electrical fields.
