Why I became an engineer?
I became an engineer for two main reasons. The first is my love of math and science with these I looked into engineering and found it was for me. The second is my step father is a telecommunications engineer with TECO and so I have been near the power distribution industry for most of my life.
My favorite thing about Theta Tau?
My favorite part of Theta Tau are the connections that come from the members of Theta Tau. These connections can be both professional and academic. The professional aspect comes from improving my resume to knowing members who are working for TECO where I wish to work once I graduate. The academic aspect I get can be seen through members who are willing to go out of their way to support and teach you the materials you may not understand in your courses.
Sporting and Outdoor activities?
I love any physical activity from soccer to running. However I am not great at many sporting activities, I do practice a Brazilian martial art called Capoeira and I march with the Herd of Thunder.
Hobbies:
The hobbies I have are the sports I actively participate in. I love playing music, marching and Capoeira are all fun times that allow me to use the energy I always have. I like to watch people play video games and every once in a while I will play with others.
If I wasn't an engineer, I would pursue...
If I wasn’t an engineer I would likely try to be a high school math teacher. I have always been good at teaching math to others and it would keep me using the math I love. The other possibility for me would be becoming a music teacher. If I did this I would not care if it was high school or private instructor, more than likely it would just be for fun.
